Standard HSS Stratocaster by Fender
In 2006 Fender began producing their Standard HSS model for the guitar player who wanted a decent Stratocaster without having to
pay too much.
The Standard HSS features one humbucking pickup and two single-coil pickups, along with the usual 3-way switch.
This model comes standard with tremolo, but the buyer has the option of choosing either a vintage-style tremolo or the locking
Floyd Rose style (for somewhat more).
This guitar is manufactured in Mexico.
Value: The Standard HSS Stratocaster carries a suggested retail price of $689.99 to $749.99 for the standard tremolo or
$879.99 to $939.99 for the locking tremolo. However, used models can be found on the secondary market for about $350.00 to $500.00.
