Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster by Fender
Texas blues guitar player Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a helicopter accident in 1990, and two years later Fender released a signature
Stratocaster model dedicated to him; like his hero Jimi Hendrix, Vaughan had almost exclusively played Strats.
The Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster is made from an alder body in the United States. It features three Texas Special pickups;
a left-handed tremolo; black pickguard with SRV logo; oval neck; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard (replaced by pau ferro starting in
late 1992) with 21 frets and dot inlay; gold-plated hardware and 3-tone sunburst finish.
This model began production in 1992 and is still currently available.
This guitar carries a current suggested retail price of $2,699.99. Older models can usually be purchased for between $1,000.00 and
$1,500.00.
