LG-1 Acoustic Guitar by Gibson
Gibson released their LG-1 flat-top acoustic guitar model starting in April 1943. It stayed in production through about 1968.
The LG-1 was 14-1/8" wide, featuring a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The rosewood fingerboard was 24-3/4" with 19 frets and
dot inlay. The logo was either decal or silkscreen. Sunburst finish. The model used a rosewood bridge until about 1961, then
a plastic bridge thereafter.
Value: This guitar, in Excellent condition, can usually bring between $800.00 and $1,600.00, depending upon the year of issue and
aesthetic concerns.
