Tube King TK999 Effects Pedals by Ibanez
Ibanez's TK999 pedals, also known as the Tube King, is a group of distortion/overdrive pedals.
The original model, the TK999 and its successor, the TK999US, featured a 12AX7 tube, with three-band active equalizer. The more modern models, still available for sale, are the TK999HT and the KT999OD which enjoy the same features.
Besides the EQ balances, the other three switches control Drive, Level, and Presence on the modern models; these were previously Gain and Master on the earlier models. The newer models can be distinguished primarily by their diamond shape. (An earlier vertically-shaped model is shown at right.)
Value: The TK999HT and -OD carry a suggested retail price of $249.99. The older models can usually be found for between $150.00 and $200.00.
